Joanna is an actress, best known for her roles in 'The New Avengers', 'Sapphire and Steel', 'Absolutely Fabulous' and 'Sensitive Skin'. She is also a former model, a human rights activist who supported the Ghurkhas in 2009 and an animal welfare activist.
Joanna spent three years as a photographic model and her acting career began in 1969 with a small role in the film, Some Girls Do, and then she appeared as a Bond girl in On Her Majesty's Secret Service.
Joanna's first major role was as Purdey in The New Avengers, a revival of the secret agent series The Avengers and then went on to star as Sapphire in 'Sapphire and Steel'. A decade later, Joanna shone as the sex-addicted fashion director Patsy in 'Absolutely Fabulous'.
Recently, Joanna has appeared in 'Joanna Lumley in the Land of the Northern Lights', a documentary about her search to see the Northern Lights in northern Norway for the BBC and supported the Green Party during the 2009 European Elections campaign.
Joanna is a pleasure to work with, warm and friendly, and is perfect for the occasional award ceremony or personal appearance.
