Fred is one of Scotland's best best known faces and voices and has been entertaining people all over the globe since turning to comedy in February 1993. He currently presents MacAulay & Co, the weekday morning show on BBC Radio Scotland, and has made guest appearances on many television panel shows, including Have I Got News For You, Mock the Week, QI and Graham Norton's Bigger Picture.
He is a regular guest on the prestigious Radio 4 production The Newsquiz as well as other Radio 4 productions including Just A Minute and I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue, The Unbelievable Truths and Clive Anderson's Chatroom on Radio 2. Fred will once again be performing his hugely popular Fred MacAulay's Fringe from the Edinburgh Festival which he has been doing since 1990 and he will also be chairing a brand new Radio 4 Panel show called I Guess That's Why They Call It The News.
Fred is very in much demand as an after dinner speaker and his sharp, intelligent observations and gentle sarcasm make him one of the most enjoyable comedians on the circuit today.
