Joesph Stiglitz was Chief Economist at The World Bank and Chairman of President Clinton’s Council of Economic Advisors. He was one of the Architects of the longest economic expansion in U.S. history. Internationally recognized as one of the leading economists of his generation, Dr. Stiglitz helped create a new branch of economics - "The Economics of Information" - which has received widespread application throughout economics. As a member of the advisory team to the United States Government, he has played a large role in advising administrations on policy matters including the Telecommunications Act of ’96, Healthcare Reform, Welfare Reform and the economic implications of National Security Measures. He is an expert on the Geo-Political Outlook for the US, Asia, Russia and the Developing Economies
