Lord John Prescott
Book Lord John Prescott for your event
Back »
John Prescott was Britain’s longest serving Deputy Prime Minister, and a key player in the Blair Government. His most significant achievement was to lead negotiations at Kyoto, resulting in the first international treaty on climate change. Having now left office, he continues to advise the Chinese on their plans to build a thousand new 'sustainable' cities.
John is also known for a number of controversial episodes - not least involving his passion for Jaguars and the punch he threw at a farmer during an election campaign. From the early days serving pink gins through to his private dinners with Brown and Blair, 'Prezza' has a rich fund of anecdotes. He is an exceedingly interesting character and has great insight into the environment, the housing sector and behind the scenes of politics.
