Duncan Bannatyne OBE is one of the UK's most successful serial entrepreneurs who has created a portfolio of leisure businesses as well as carving out a high-profile media career.
He is best-known as one of the original line up dragons on the BBC's Dragons' Den, where his sharp comments put would-be entrepreneurs on the spot. Other shows in 2008 include ITV's The Rich List and a documentary for BBC2 on the tobacco industry. Duncan will be presenting a new series for VIRGIN TV called Duncan Bannatyne's Seaside Rescue to be aired this year.
Duncan is a committed fundraiser and supports many charities including UNICEF and Scottish International Relief and Comic Relief. He was awarded an OBE in the 2004 Queen's Birthday Honours for his services to charity.
He is also the author of Anyone Can Do It (2007) and Wake Up and Change Your Life (2008), How To Be Smart With Your Money (2009) and How To Be Smart With Your Time (to be published in 2010) all published by Orion.
